‘Elementary’ season 4 spoilers: Is Sherlock’s job in danger?

ElementaryLet’s start by getting the facts out of the way right now when it comes to “Elementary“: You’re going to be waiting for a little while to see the show’s fourth season premiere on CBS. Specifically, think along the lines of November 5. This is a long wait, but there are a variety of different events still worth looking forward to. Take, for example, the arrival of John Noble as Sherlock’s father, and getting to see whether or not Jonny Lee Miller’s character can get his job back, and continue to keep his partnership with Watson intact.

Based on the synopsis below for this first episode back, it feels pretty simple to say that we are going to see Sherlock tested almost right away this season, and that means that he may need as much help from those around him as possible:

“Holmes attempts to rebuild his life in the wake of his attack on Oscar and subsequent relapse. Due to his violent actions, Sherlock’s partnership with Watson and their consultancy with the NYPD are in jeopardy. As he awaits news on whether or not he will face criminal charges, the case of a missing woman allegedly killed by her husband lands in his lap, just in time to distract him from the impending arrival of his estranged father, Mr. Morland Holmes (new cast member John Noble).”

Ultimately, what we’re hoping to see this season is more or less the same exact thing as before, but with a few new wrinkles to go along with it. Having Sherlock’s father be a part of the equation, and being involved in his life, could be both a positive and a negative.
