‘Poldark’ episodes 7 and 8 (finale) spoilers: The final chapters for Aidan Turner, cast (for now)

Through its multiple airings both in the United States and the United Kingdom, “Poldark” has provided many different things. It is a source of entertainment, of romance, and above all else, a source of really great British drama. There is not another series out there quite like it when it comes to bringing the combination of everything it possesses.

We know that America has been very much impressed this summer with the series and its leading man Aidan Turner, and it all comes to a close on Sunday night with an epic season finale that spans two hours and two episodes. Want to get some teases? Here’s what we’ll give you for now.

1. Let’s start with the synopsis: “Tragedy strikes when sickness, jealousy, and infidelity plague the community. Ross struggles to keep the Carnmore company afloat, with George Warleggan close on his heels. Meanwhile, Demelza’s caring nature yields tragic consequences … A helpless Ross is pushed to desperate measures to help those he loves, but his actions leave the fate of his family hanging in the balance.”

2. Elizabeth is going to really start to realize something about some of her past decisions … that is, if she did not realize it long before now.

3. The cooper trade is going to continue to play a major part in the story, but there are no guarantees that Ross concludes this season a happy man.

4. In a sense, the story of the season is wrapped up in that there is not an enormous cliffhanger. However, at the same time the series does still make it very clear that there are a variety of different powerful / emotional stories still left to tell.
