‘Bachelor in Paradise 2’ spoilers: Chris Harrison on the merits of new season

BP -Now that the story is over for Kaitlyn Bristowe as “The Bachelorette,” it is of course time to move on to the next big thing. That is in this case “Bachelor in Paradise,” a very crazy summer show that will occasionally present the illusion of fantasy … but most of the time, fighting and crying! It’s a show that lives mostly for the drama, and we expect almost all of this and then some when the second-season premiere airs Monday. Also, there’s some confirmed romance in the form of Marcus Grodd and Lacy Faddoul getting married.

Of course, you have to take some of what show host Chris Harrison says with a grain of salt, given that it is his job to make you excited about the show. However, we will take at least part of his new comments to TV Guide seriously, mostly because it feels easier for this show to exist now that everyone seems to understand what the format is:

“This season was equally good, maybe even better than last because people were savvy to what was going on and the end results were similar … It’s fun, silly, summer TV and hopefully everyone gets their box of wine and enjoys a little part of paradise.”

We’re mostly interested to see here whether or not we actually find out more personal information about these contestants; it’d be weird if we do somehow learn more about people on here than we did Kaitlyn, and she was the lead of this past season. We still know almost nothing about her.
