‘Mistresses’ season 3, episode 6 review: How much trouble are Joss and Harry in?
Thursday night brought us another episode of “Mistresses,” and in turn another chance to groan over Niko. Seriously, why do we need her? She and Luca really should just run off together at this point after Calista divorces him, since they probably deserve each other.
The big news tonight to us is the fact that Niko slept with Harry, and at the same time, she is also the girlfriend of Ellis. Oh, that’s not going to go over well! This is not even bringing up the fact that Harry and Joss still have something, even though he read an image posted online as a part of a Joss – Calista plot completely wrong. We’re enjoying the Calista story, mostly because so much of it involves her finding creative ways to make Luca and his new squeeze Eva incredibly unhappy.
The entirety of this story beyond these two characters was interesting to us, mostly for a few simple reasons:
1. Alec and Vivian doing what they can to appease Karen at the moment, which includes giving her a key to the place so that she doesn’t feel like this is some temporary fling. Even still, it is hard to envision this lasting for an incredibly long period of time.
2. April’s date with the principal went terribly awry, mostly because of Marc finding a way to get himself arrested while the kids were nearby. Seriously? This is a very Marc thing to do at this point, based on what we’ve seen from him so far.
“Love Is an Open Door” is somewhat of a strange title for this episode, mostly because we’re not sure we would call most of this “love.” Hey, at least it was entertaining, right? Grade: B.
