‘Masters of Sex’ season 3, episode 2 preview: Virginia, a possible baby, and a Libby face-off

Tonight’s “Masters of Sex” premiere brought many a story elements, but the end of it had what may be the most important thread of all: The revelation that Virginia Johnson is pregnant!

So what happens from here? It seems like one of the biggest subjects of discussion right now is going to be a debate over the child’s paternity. Libby, as seen in the promo below, is certainly convinced that the kid may belong to Bill, given that she is very much conscious at this point as to what is going on. Virginia, meanwhile, tells her that it belongs to George. Bill tries to get involved here courtesy of a gynecologist, and really decides to make decisions for Lizzy Caplan’s character without really consulting with her at all. That’s not going to end particularly well.

By the time we get to the end of this episode, we imagine that there will be some answers … and also hopefully at least some sort of understanding between some of these characters at the same time. There is a lot still going on with this show, and we have not really given any time to the patient mentioned here.
