‘Masters of Sex’ season 3 video: Watch Lizzy Caplan perform sixties classic!

While the video may not be much in the way of a story spoiler (or really have much to do at all with the story) for “Masters of Sex” season 3 premiering on Sunday night, it may still be the perfect sort of thing to get you into the mood and the spirit of the Showtime series.

This video features series star Lizzy Caplan (otherwise known as Virginia Johnson) performing the classic hit “What the World Needs Now.” This is a move designed to usher in the show’s new time period of the 1960s, and this is certainly a show where matters of the heart take center stage. With that being said, these manners are hardly in the way that many would expect. This is a very complicated series, and one that features a love triangle (if you can call it love) at the very center with Virginia, Bill (Michael Sheen), and his wife Libby (Caitlin Fitzgerald).

If you have missed certain descriptions of the story as of late, we are going to pick up with Bill and Virginia in a very different place than where they were at the end of season 2. They will be working together as a part of a successful partnership, and there will be a wide variety of business opportunities that come their way as a result of that. The sexual revolution is going to lead to them having the respect and appreciation of a much wider group of people.

As for what this means for their business and relationship in the long-term, that’s what we will have to get some firm answers on.
