‘Scream Queens’ spoilers: Keke Palmer on inevitable ‘American Horror Story’ comparisons
How much is “Scream Queens” going to be similar to “American Horror Story”? It is ultimately pretty inevitable that you are going to think about these two shows at the same time. Both are executive-produced by Ryan Murphy, both have enormous casts of people who are pretty well-known for the most part, and both also are going to try to push the envelope at times.
With this article, we hope mostly to alleviate one of the potential concerns that is out there about the show: That is somehow going to be toned down in terms of content just because we are moving over to Fox rather than FX, which is where “American Horror Story” airs. Maybe there will be a different sort of extreme content present on this show, but trust us when we say that there will still be some craziness. Star Keke Palmer promises that to Entertainment Weekly:
“I think that he is keeping that same, heightened, extreme grounded-ness [that there is in ‘American Horror Story’]. How he does it, I have no idea. But that is very much so a part of Scream Queens. And also, the comedy. He finds the balance in light of the dark. It’s fun to play.”
We were somewhat surprised recently by some quotes related to “Scream Queens” and how it is going to be different from “American Horror Story,” at least in that it is going to be more of a continuous story for some of its characters. Four people will make it all the way through the first season. Will Palmer be one of them who gets to continue onward into season 2? Time will tell.
