‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Ben Higgins, Kaitlyn Bristowe’s heart-to-heart (video)

Ben -

Take note to all future contestants of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette“: What we have for you here in the attached TV Guide video is proof that there is a respectful way to have a sit-down conversation with someone, and you don’t have to get into arguments or name-calling in order to make a point.

For Ben Higgins, we understand very much where he is coming from with this conversation with Kaitlyn Bristowe. The guy is concerned. After all, he feels like things are going pretty well for him, but then he leaves for a time when she is around to take a shower, and when he comes back he feels like she and Shawn Booth have had some intense conversation and the vibe is completely different. He still wants to be there, but he wants to also figure out whether or not he is completely wanted. He is in need of validation, but he’s not saying anything in a completely hurt manner. Everything that he says makes a certain amount of sense.

So how will Kaitlyn respond to all of this? The tricky thing here is that while Ben did the right thing in addressing any potential awkwardness, she may still be in the right to react in a less-than-desirable way for him. This is a woman who has put up with a ton of shenanigans and confrontations so far this season, and casting somewhat let her down when it comes to casting model citizens. She does have some good eggs (both Bens, Shawn, Loveman, and Cupcake all seem to be pretty good guys), but there’s also been Clint, Ian, the drunk guy the first night, and more.

Eventually, we figure that Ben will get his closure. He seems too likable and too well-edited at this point to be sent home in terrible “dramatic” fashion.
