‘Empire’ season 2 spoilers: Official details on Lucious, Cookie’s next moves

Fox did more today than just unveil some of the first premiere-date news regarding some of their shows; they also unveiled a first look at some synopses! This is a chance to at least garner some insight into what the producers have planned; they may not be enormous spoilers, but this is a chance to start to learn a thing or two more about what lies ahead in the future.

So for “Empire” season 2, the synopsis below makes it clear that Lucious Lyon may not be in prison forever following a time jump. The power struggle for Empire Entertainment is going to continue, but it may be a threat from outside the company that starts to rear its head more so than any issue that comes from within. Take a look below:

“The new season kicks off three months after Lucious’ arrest. Knowing Lucious won’t be held much longer in prison, Cookie and her allies within the Lyon family make a desperate attempt to seize control of Empire. But as the Lyons continue to battle each other, a bigger external threat emerges that could force them to unite.”

Chris Rock has already been seen at work as one of the guest stars, and there are many more that will be coming throughout the weeks and months ahead. In a short period of time this has become TV’s biggest hit, and a show that is going to be working very hard to meet some of the crazy expectations that viewers now have. Remember here that mere months ago, nobody knew just how this show was going to be received.
