‘Scorpion’ season 2 spoilers: ‘Forever’ alum set up for recurring role
We are starting to get close to shows filming their upcoming seasons, and for all fans of “Scorpion” on CBS, we believe that this very much qualifies as great news. After all, we’ve got some of the first real casting news of the season today!
As first reported by Deadline, Alana de la Garza is coming over to this show following her run on the loved-but-canceled ABC series “Forever,” and will be playing a role that is key in ensuring that Cabe (Robert Patrick) eventually makes his way back to Team Scorpion. She is the tough, super-smart new Head of Homeland Security, and her work is one of the reasons why the Scorpion story will progress. She will do whatever she can to ensure that the team has success in all they do, but there will be at least some questions when it comes to her motives.
We presume that there are going to be some other important castings added in due time, as this show continues to play with what works for it. After all, it is still very early on in the series’ run, and what we feel was successful about the first season was that it was able to pack in a lot of action, horror, and quirky characters at the same time. If it continues to accentuate these things, it will be more than fine.
“Scorpion” is set to premiere on CBS on Monday, September 21, and will help to kick off the network’s fall season.
