Could Hawkgirl go from ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ to isolated CW spin-off?

Legends -Is The CW starting to go a little crazy with the DC universe? That could be the case, depending of course on how much you believe some of the latest rumors that are out there.

According to SpoilerTV, the network is considering making a spin-off series solely about the Hawkgirl character featured on the upcoming “Legends of Tomorrow.” Ciara Renée is playing the character on the show (premiering at midseason), and would be the star of the spin-off, as well. We understand on the surface why there would be an interest in this, given that it would be another female-fronted superhero show, and there is so much Hawkgirl / Hawkman mythology out there that has never been explored before on television.

However, the obvious downside here is that you wonder whether or not the network is going to cause some sort of burnout. You want the shows you have to last a long time, and giving people too much may cause them to turn away a little bit.

Our counter that is fairly simple: Just don’t want the shows that you are not interested in, and we’ll see if “Hawkgirl” could have enough in the tank to sustain its own show. Just remember here that there are dozens of DC Comic series currently running, and nobody is forcing you to read all of them. We’re trying to not have too big of an opinion on this for now, mostly because this show is reportedly still in the early development stages, and that is assuming that the reports out there are accurate.
