‘Shark Tank’ revisited: BedJet, Fresh Patch, Drain Strain, Balm Chicky Balm Balm

The latest -There is once again no new episode of “Shark Tank” airing on ABC Friday night, but we have to say that when it comes to repeats, we are at least happy getting the installment that is coming on the air. This is a fun one! We like all of the products featured to a certain extent, and under the right circumstances we could even see ourselves using three of them. (We’re not a lip balm person by any means.)

Instead of just regurgitating our take from the original review we wrote months ago, we’ve updates our impressions slightly in this article, along with our take of where these businesses are now.

Fresh Patch – As someone who loves to take their dog outside for walks, there is a part of us that does inevitably want to label this as lazy to just get a patch of grass for your dog. However, we’ve come around on this a lot since the episode aired, mostly because sometimes we find ourselves rushing home in fear that our dog has “taken care of business” somewhere she’s not supposed to. While we’re not sure we would want to ever rely on it, this is useful for people who live in difficult weather but still want to own a pet, or maybe some who are have to go out occasionally for long stretches of time and cannot take their dog for a walk during the day.

Balm Chicky Balm Balm – It’s still a cheeky product in a crowded field, but they have managed to get themselves into Target and that is saying something. Really, this product is still best for people who are into kitschy ideas, or occasionally find themselves wanting to share their balm with others thanks to the “friend end” technology.

Drain Strain – This is from our vantage point a great product. Clogged drains are a pain, and many of them are designed such that they are almost impossible to clean if there is hair or other gunk in there. This makes it easy. They seem to have made great progress since the show, as well, and actually apparently have original Shark Kevin Harrington also on board now.

BedJet – Having something that heats and cools parts of your bed for a better night’s sleep is great, but we still find ourselves with a major concern: The price. Maybe if this was $99 or something close to it, we could see this starting to become more of a household name. We just can’t envision, unless we were super-wealthy, paying at the very least $399 in order to to capitalize on its benefits.
