NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ season 3, episode 3 preview: Hugh Dancy, Mads Mikkelsen, and the search continues
Tonight’s “Hannibal” episode could have easily have been titled “where do broken hearts go,” but alas, that was simply not to be this time around! Someone just had to go with naming all the episodes around Italian culinary cuisine. We kid, we kid … at least for now.
“Secondo” is the title for the next new installment of the NBC masterpiece, and the story is going to continue with Will Graham traveling towards where he believes Hannibal Lecter is hiding out. You will learn more about the character’s past in this hour, while at the same time see more of the man’s complicated relationship with Bedelia as he moves ever closer to an inevitable capture. Take a look at the synopsis below:
“Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) continues his search for Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen), making his way to Hannibal’s childhood home in Lithuania. Once there he meets the mysterious Chiyoh (Tao Okamoto), former attendant to Hannibal’s aunt. Meanwhile, Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) arrives in Italy, hoping to find Will and intervene before tragedy strikes again, and Bedelia (Gillian Anderson) warns Hannibal against unraveling his new life.”
By the time we make it to the end of this installment, we will hopefully get a better sense of just where this story is going overseas. While we have the book series to rely on, the story is a little bit more of a hodgepodge of various Hannibal works versus the second half of this season, which will be more Red Dragon.
