Is Finn Wittrock joining ‘American Horror Story: Hotel,’ or a different Ryan Murphy now?
To us, there is little questioning that Finn Wittrock was one of the breakout stars of “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” and his Dandy Mott was a shocking / super-entertaining villain. We haven’t quite seen a character like him, and the great thing about Finn as an actor is that he can be extremely versatile. He could come back on another season and be a likable hero without any real hesitation at all.
So when you think about this, it is still very surprising that we have not heard about his official return to “American Horror Story: Hotel” yet … but it may be because he has a job on a different Ryan Murphy show! Speaking at the Critics’ Choice TV Awards to TVLine, the actor hinted that he has a part, but not one that he is talking about completely just yet:
“I will be back in the Ryan Murphy universe in some capacity … How exactly that’s going to manifest, I still honestly don’t know.”
It’s possible that Wittrock is going to be appearing on the upcoming Fox series “Scream Queens,” or who knows? Maybe he is joining “American Crime Story.” Given that he was such a breakout star, though, it feels easy to assume that Murphy would want him for something, and he would in turn want to re-team with the producers who helped to give him such wonderful material.
The new season of “American Horror Story” is going to premiere on FX this October, while “Scream Queens” is set for fall on Fox and “American Crime Story” is tentatively scheduled for at some point in 2016. We’ll have more information whenever it becomes available.
