‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6, episode 2 preview: First details on Shay Mitchell, cast in ‘Songs of Innocence’
Tonight’s “Pretty Little Liars” season premiere did a very good job at more or less serving up a combo platter of intensity. You had Mona trapped in a hole, Alison trying to track down the Liars with some help from the guys, and of course a wide array of Charles-related creepiness. “Game On, Charles” was an introduction to what has been described already as one of the “darkest” secrets of the ABC Family series that has aired to date.
If you do want to get some basic details right now in terms of what is coming on next week’s new episode of the show (entitled “Songs of Innocence”), we like to think that the synopsis below is a pretty great resource:
“The girls may have gotten out of the Dollhouse but what happened to them during their time of captivity has lasting effects. With worried loved ones watching over them, the PLLs are home and trying to heal, with not much success. Even with suspected tormentor Andrew in custody, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer fear they are far from safe.
“Meanwhile, Alison must deal with her past indiscretions and her notoriety around Rosewood.”
Obviously, the wonderful news here is that Shay Mitchell, Ashley Benson, and the rest of the cast are going to have an opportunity to actually do some work outside of the Dollhouse for a change! The bad news for them is simply that the trouble and pain coming their way is far from over.
