‘Devious Maids’ season 3: New video introduces Naya Rivera’s Blanca

Memorial Day is hardly the best day for all things TV. Typically there are all sorts of repeats, marathons, and very few people actually checking out something to watch. Most people are instead enjoying the opportunity to spend time with their friends and loved ones while honoring those who have fought for freedom today.

Next week, have no fear: Programming is going to be back in a big way! We’re specifically referring in this article to the third season of “Devious Maids,” which is going to be airing at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. Of course, it will take almost no time at all for things to get dramatic, and the video below serves as interesting introduction to the character of Blanca. This is Naya Rivera’s first major TV role since the end of “Glee,” and it gives you at least a little sense of who this person is.

Ultimately, we imagine that this is only scratching the surface of this character, who will be appearing in multiple episodes throughout the season. “Devious Maids” is one of Lifetime’s signature shows these days, as the network has underwent somewhat of a transformation in recent years.

Of course, we still do not really understand the programming decision to air new episodes up against “The Bachelorette,” which has Monday nights cornered off when it comes to juicy and drama-packed TV. Lifetime has a better idea with their “Bachelor” spoof “UnREAL,” which is going to be premiering next week after the dating show ends on ABC.
