‘Empire’ season 2 stars Jussie Smollett and Bryshere Yazshawn Gray perform at Billboard Music Awards

At the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, there are a variety of different artists and performers who took the stage. However, at the same time, one pair of performers who we did not expect to see in any shape or form were Jussie Smollett and Bryshere Yazshawn Gray. The two “Empire” stars are from a show that comes on Fox, so we really did not think it was that possible that they would come and perform on a show airing on ABC. The show is currently at its hype, so we really do not blame the two actors for taking advantage of every little bit of spotlight that they can at the moment.

Specifically, the two guys performed one of the bigger songs from the series in “You’re So Beautiful.” Then, they were also joined by Estelle later in order to perform another song in “Conqueror.” We do feel like the first performance was stronger than the second.

“Empire” season 1 ended months ago, but the show has already been renewed for a second season. This one is going to premiere a little bit later this fall, and we imagine that there are going to be a variety of new songs. It is still very much to be seen whether or not the show is going to continue the level of success that it already has achieved. That is not going to be easy to do.

In the end, this was a pretty good performance, and if nothing else, it keeps the show in mind.
