‘Home Fires’ episode 3 preview: What lies ahead for Kate and Jack?
Tonight’s “Home Fires” episode furthered along the story of a small Cheshire town, dealing with wartime circumstances even with it not being anywhere close to the war. It does still have some work to do to become the series that we know that it can be, but at least the new episode Sunday night did make a few moves in the right direction.
Based on what we are hearing right now when it comes to next week’s new episode, relationships will be a component of it. Of course, let it be known for us that anytime we see the words “Kate” and “Jack” together, we automatically think of what is one of the greatest shows in recent memory in “Lost.” Much like a super-secret drama, for some reason ITV is not too coy on releasing details of what lies ahead, save for the short synopsis below:
“Everyone must make sacrifices as war starts to have an impact on the village. As Pat’s marriage deteriorates, Kate and Jack’s relationship intensifies.”
To us, the third episode of almost any series is of the make-it-or-break-it variety. This is where you really need to start to prove that you have some great tricks and surprises up your sleeve; otherwise, you very much do run the risk of losing some viewers who have given you a great chance to lure them in. The first two episodes have been strong, but there does need to be something else that comes moving forward.
