‘Silicon Valley’ season 2, episode 5 preview: Could Roommate Jared be an entertaining Jared?
We’ve probably made one thing somewhat clear in the majority of our “Silicon Valley” articles to date: We could watch the Jared character do almost anything. Seriously, the guy is so out-there and entertaining, the manic / obsessive way he does laundry would probably be worthy of a few laughs.
So what could happen when this guy (played brilliantly by Zach Woods) decides that he may want to move in to Erlich’s house? Well, we could learn a few more interesting things about him … which may include that he sleepwalks and at times has a persuasion that involves speaking German. To get some other news on what to expect in this particular story, all you have to do is take a look at the attached synopsis:
“Gavin creates interference that hinders Pied Piper’s expansion. Meanwhile, the guys could be threatened by a nosy neighbor; Guilfoyle sets out to build servers; Richard’s reluctant to let Jared move in; and Big Head’s leadership skills are suspect.”
The promo below also features one other returning character that we are glad to see: Richard’s doctor! Maybe one of the reasons why we enjoy him is that he is the awkward, American version of Ricky Gervais’ character from “Louie”: He has some of the worst bedside manner possible when it comes to handing out actual medical advice.
We will be back over the next couple of days with a full review for this episode, but if there is one other immediate observation that we have on the synopsis, it is this: Who ever thought that Big Head’s leadership skills were actually good?
