‘Beyond the Tank’ preview: Chord Buddy, Bantam Bagels, and Mix Bikini featured
Last week, “Beyond the Tank” proved that even without the famous tank and all of the sharks present, there is still something about watching these small businesses fight for success that viewers seem to be drawn to. With that in mind, we’re here to preview three new business that are going to be at the center of next Friday’s new episode. (Update: Even though this episode is 102, it is actually going to air on May 15. Sorry for any confusion!)
We’re going to set up this preview article in the same way that we do every other article that we’ve shared for “Shark Tank,” and start by giving you the synopsis along with quick-takes on some of the products:
“Shark Robert Herjavec travels to Dothan, AL to see how Chord Buddy founder Travis Perry is doing with his guitar educational training tool, but scolds Travis to make a “friggin’ decision” that will determine the company’s survival. Lori Greiner loves her new Brooklyn-based company, Bantam Bagels—but hates the name. Can she convince Nick and Elyse Oleksak to change it so far into the company’s successful history? And Barbara Corcoran was thrilled to invest in Mix Bikini, a line of interchangeable bikini separates run by New York super salesman Frank Sozzafava. Is she still thrilled?”
Chord Buddy – If you missed it, it is still a smart concept to teach people of all ages how to play the guitar. We understand the demand for it, but is it really the best innovation? We’re still not sure even after investment.
Bantam Bagels – Given that this is still the business’ name online, maybe they won this dispute? Bagels still look mighty tasty, though.
Mix Bikini – We have no clue what has become of this company. Their website redirects to another bikini site, so we’ll probably have to wait until the show to see what the real update is here.
