‘Madam Secretary’ finale spoilers: First teases on Tea Leoni, cast
The first thing that we should do here is talk the episode’s title, for there may be something of value there. This quote is credited to John Bradford, originally in the context of men being led to execution. It has since been ascribed by some to mean “it’s in God’s hands.” All of this puts a chilling feeling around the episode, making us think that the first season’s endgame could be out of Elizabeth’s control.
For a few more details, let us turn to the synopsis below:
“When Elizabeth confronts her former friend Juliet, she flashes back to when then-CIA Director Dalton offered her a job that would have changed the course of her life. Also, Stevie and President Dalton’s son, Harrison (Jason Ralph), begin a relationship that will have consequences.”
The Elizabeth and Juliet story will likely be the more tense one when it comes to far-reaching implications for Elizabeth. As for Stevie, we see this story as a more political one. The more that Elizabeth is tied to President Dalton, the more that her entire life could be investigated. We don’t necessarily think that she has many skeletons in her closet, but this puts her under so much more of a microscope than she would be otherwise.
