‘Britain’s Got Talent’ preview: Simon Cowell vs. Princess the Hypnodog
We should say right away that it feels almost like there is no chance that Princess the Hypnodog makes it through to the next round of “Britain’s Got Talent” tomorrow night. As a matter of fact, we’re not even sure that the act will get more than one or two minutes on the show. Why would it? It’s an interesting question, since there does not appear to be any real talent here at all.
Instead, what you are getting the honor of “watching” here is mostly some bizarre spectacle featuring a dog staring right into the face of Simon Cowell, who does not seem in the least bit impressed. Sadly, it does not turn him into a fun-loving, happy person. He’s probably even more grumpy than he ever was before after dealing with that.
Here’s the funny thing: If there was any talent here whatsoever, Simon probably would have been all about it. He is a noted dog-lover for the most part, and seemed to be absolutely in love with Pudsey when he and owner Ashleigh ended up winning the show years ago.
Hopefully, there will be some actual talent at some point during this episode, as well. For the most part, we have enjoyed this season just from the standpoint of bringing us balance. There is definitely some silly antics that we’ve had a chance to see, but also a few things that have also made us actually inspired. This show does that in ways that very few other talent competitions really can.
