‘Outlander’ episode 11 video: Claire, Geillis, and the blame game

At the end of this past weekend’s new episode of “Outlander,” what we saw was Claire Fraser in a particularly terrible position. She had been tricked to go and check on her friend (do we call her that?) Geillis after receiving a note, only to realize later that this was a way to get the two of them arrested for witchcraft.

For the most part, the sneak peek below is themed primarily around one subject and one subject only: Whether or not Claire was actually to blame for what transpired, and if this was all a part of some sort of elaborate ploy in order to make certain that Geillis was put behind bars. It’s a little crazy, right? Why in the world would Claire want to be arrested? What Geillis is not thinking about here is that there are some others out there who may not have the same narrative that she does.

The implications of this arrest of course go way beyond just this simple preview. Instead, what you have to look at here is more along the lines of what happens next, and how these moves could impact life in general for Claire and Jamie. He had already lashed out at her once for not following orders, only to then apologize after the infamous “whipping” incident. Will he have learned something from that, or be equally upset when he learns that she has done something yet again right after telling her it was not the right move to make?
