NBC’s ‘The Voice’ results preview: Sawyer Fredericks, Meghan Linsey, Kimberly Nichole dominate iTunes

Sawyer -

Based on the early iTunes results going into Tuesday night’s new episode of “The Voice,” you can be pretty confident that the three singers in the title are all moving on to the next round. Sawyer Fredericks, Meghan Linsey, and Kimberly Nichole are all in the top five on the site, with the trio behind only “See You Again” from “Furious 7” on the sales chart. They are all getting the key multiplier, and pending a shock, will be a part of this competition for a long time.

This list does absolutely nothing to make us think that Sawyer will be anything other than the winner of the season. After all, he performed a song in “Imagine” that has been done a billion times over the course of singing-show history, and still managed to get people to go online and buy it. It’s a good sign for Kimberly, as well, given that “House of the Rising Sun” is also overdone.

You have to go down past #20 to find the next person in Joshua Davis (who is at #25, at the time of this writing). Deanna Johnson, Koryn Hawthorne, Corey Kent White, India Carney, and Rob Taylor are also all in the top 50. This makes up a good three-quarters of the top 12.

So who are the three in the most danger? Think Hannah Kirby, Mia Z., and Brian Johnson, who is the only contestant not in the top 100 on iTunes. We are the most surprised by Mia, who has been consistently great almost the entire competition. We would expect her to be the contestant saved at the end of the day, but who knows? Crazier things have happened.
