‘The Good Wife’ season 6 spoilers: Will Alicia be forced to resign?
This past episode of “The Good Wife” was certainly a thrill ride of the worst kind for Alicia Florrick. After she was accused of voter fraud, she was forced to go through the wringer of accusations and a search to clear her name. Even though she herself did nothing wrong, what she did was enter a mess and a conspiracy when she was asked to step down. When she refused, things looked very bad for her as she was more or less forced out of her position.
So where does she go from here? You are not going to be getting complete answers to this issue until the April 26 episode airs (there is no announced title yet). However, the synopsis below certainly makes things sound ominous:
“Alicia faces an uncertain future when she is forced to resign as State’s Attorney in the wake of a voter fraud scandal. Also, R.D. (Oliver Platt) hires Diane and Cary to argue against two ultra-conservative lawyers for a test case involving mandatory minimum sentencing.”
By the time we make it to the end of this episode, hopefully it will be clear if there is any hope at all for Alicia to get her job back. At the point, things are certainly not looking great, and we don’t see a whole lot of hope for her with the politics in Chicago the way that they are. The only thing that we wonder for now is this: What was the point of all of the State’s Attorney storylines if it was going to give us this ending?
