Is ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4, episode 19 new tonight? ‘I’m Just a Bill’ details

The Lawn Chair -Gladiators, put down your shields and your armor for a week: “Scandal” is going to be making you wait for another week to see what is coming up next. This is a hiatus that was a long time coming, given that there are 24 episodes of “Grey’s Anatomy” compared to only 22 of it. This is more or less a guarantee that there is going to be a hiatus at some point. There has to be if the show is going to last until the May sweeps.

So while there is nothing to share with you today in the terms of latest actions for Meliie, Fitz, Olivia, or the rest of our leading men and women, how about some long-awaited details on next week’s “I’m Just a Bill”? Outside of having an awesome title that is inspired by “Schoolhouse Rock,” not much has been revealed on it until now. This is where the synopsis below changes things:

“With Rowan back in town, the stakes are at an all-time high for the team trying to take down B613. Meanwhile, Olivia gets a call that the mayor’s wife has been murdered and is asked to take on the case. Back in the White House, Fitz needs help getting a very important bill to pass, but when he looks to the VP for support, she proves that she’s not an easy pushover like everyone once thought.”

In a way, that is what Fitz gets for trying to promote a Vice-President just for the sake of pleasing his wife and setting the stage for her to run. We’ve long wondered if there was going to be a Frankenstein’s monster effect here, where it would look like Mr. and Mrs. President created someone who could become so popular that Mellie doesn’t stand a chance at getting elected. It’d be funny if it happened, or if nothing else, give Mellie a formidable opponent.

As for Rowan’s return, you already know that this is trouble. It always is!
