ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: Jaleel White to guest in ‘Saturday Night Live’-inspired episode
Jaleel White is best known for playing lighthearted roles. Even away from his claim to fame as Steve Urkel on “Family Matters,” many of his guest-starring appearances have been of shows such as “Psych” or even “Dancing with the Stars,” where he of course competed as himself.
So could White be set to try to creep you out in a way that he has not before? It certainly seems that way, judging from the fact that he is set to join “Castle” for a part that may have some very dark edges to it. According to a new report from TVLine, White has been cast for a part in the upcoming episode entitled “Dead from New York,” playing the part of an over-the-top and possibly dangerous cast member of a “Saturday Night Live”-esque sketch show named Mickey Franks. Obviously, the title here in itself is meant as a reference to the NBC series, and this gives White a chance to show off his funny side, while still giving him something dark and very meaty to tackle underneath.
We already know that the show is returning on April 20 with new episodes starting with “Sleeper,” which is going to touch back on the central mystery of what happened to Rick so many months ago. This is a disappearance that has been shelved for some reason most of the season, but no more! “Dead from New York” is probably a fun little diversion between “Sleeper” and the more serious stuff coming at the very end of the season.
If you did miss it, we did post the synopsis for “Sleeper” at the link here. It may not reveal everything, but it should be enough to still get you excited.
