‘Orphan Black’ season 3: BBC America places past episodes online
The wait for new episodes of “Orphan Black” has been a long one, but it is also one that is just about at an end! Come Saturday, April 18, the series will return with all-new episodes and hopefully sole solid ratings. (We’re hoping that this will be a subtle clue for you to watch the show.)
In preparation for the new season, BBC America is doing a rather nice thing for many viewers on YouTube: The first four episodes of the show’s first season are available online! This is a chance to see the beginnings of the Clone Club, and for you to realize how great Tatiana Maslany really is in her multiple roles. It is not clear how long the episodes are going to be online, but this is strangely not a move we see many other networks do to promote the show. We really like it, though: This is a chance to hook in new fans who may not be that aware of your product, and convince them to come on board and give it a try. By the time they finish watching, they are then convinced to find a way to watch more.
The new season will present you with a chance to see a completely different brand of clones (played by Ari Millen), and by the time the story is over, all of the clones are going to be in a very different place than they were in previously. We are certainly already seeing drastic shifts, especially for the characters of Sarah and Cosima.
Given that there is an “Orphan Black” event happening this weekend at WonderCon, we may have some other news coming out about that soon. Stay tuned!
