‘The Walking Dead’ season 5 finale spoilers: Steven Yeun on Glenn’s internal debate

Glenn -We have almost arrived to the big season finale for “The Walking Dead,” and the one primary order of business that we have right now is simple: Trying to figure out what in the world is going to happen.

Unfortunately, we are faced with a dilemma here in that few within the case of course want to spoil anything. Why would they? They’ve worked to hard on the show to ruin it. So with that in mind, what we are instead going to try to cast our focus on here is specifically the issue of what could be happening with some of these characters emotionally. They’ve had a chance to really experience all sides of the spectrum as of late. They have seen happier times with themselves in Alexandria, trying to live out something more similar to a normal life. However, can they really adjust themselves completely to this? You have to remember here that for years, they lived within a universe of brutality.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly on this very subject singular to Glenn, Steven Yeun had his own perspective on it. Let’s just say that it is very interesting and then some:

“… He’s wavering up and down between whether he wants to accept the world as it is and say that in order to function and live in this world you need to be on the far end of the spectrum and say, ‘I’m going to do whatever it takes to survive, regardless of whether it is killing somebody or sacrificing somebody.’ Or you’re going to have a heart and try to lead people to a place where society and humanity still exist. And I think Glenn is wrestling with that.”
