‘The Walking Dead’ season 5 finale spoilers: Prepare for at least one big ‘loss’

More news -One of the more intriguing things at the moment about “The Walking Dead” is the sense of inevitability going into the season 5 finale Sunday night. By this, we simply mean that it is common knowledge for most that there is going to be at least one character who loses his or her life in this last episode, maybe more. You have to face the episode with this is almost a reality. Most of the anxiety, therefore, comes from who could die.

At the moment, we would say that there are a few people extremely high on the candidate list: Deanna (it would allow Rick to gain more power), Sasha, Aaron, and even to a certain extent Tara and Eugene are among who we are the most afraid of losing. We do not foresee a setup that will lead to the loss of someone like a Daryl or a Carol, but who knows? This show has managed to shock us a few times already.

In preparing for this finale, executive producer Gale Ann Hurd passed along the following to Entertainment Weekly, discussing the aforementioned reality that someone will probably die (and of course at least a few walkers will, as well):

“You can rest assured that not only walker blood will be spilled, but there will be a few surprises and some sad losses that no one, I think, will be able to predict.”

This is a subject that we will discuss more in-depth over the weekend. While the majority of the characters on the series are not truly safe, there are a couple who we believe could be.
