‘Empire’ season 2 spoilers: What’s next for Rhonda and Andre?

There is some great stuff coming on “Empire” season 2, but we’re saying that a little more as a vote of confidence than as any sort of scientific proof. The truth is, at least at the moment, that not even the folks behind the scenes for the Fox series know entirely what is going to lie ahead moving forward. There are still many things that are being sorted out, and many stories that have to be considered (especially when you have a million or so people who all want to be a part of the show).

One thing that you can count on happening with confidence? It is getting the opportunity to see more of the Andre and Rhonda characters together! Speaking in a new interview with TVLine, executive producer Ilene Chaiken did her part to explain that the show is looking to write more to these characters, even after Rhonda putting the killing blow on Vernon and some indiscretions that Andre may or may not have done:

“We love that Andre-Rhonda dynamic, and whether they’re coming back together in the way they were before, or whether they have to renegotiate their relationship, is really interesting to us. We also have to look at whether or not Andre’s [religious] conversion, if that’s indeed what it is, plays into it … But we definitely love the both of them, and we love them together.”

In other words, feel good about the potential that we see more of them doing some surprising things next season.
