ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4, episode 17 video: Is the Emily / Victoria truce over?

For a while, “Revenge” was almost entirely about Emily, Victoria, and of course seeing what the two were going to be willing to do in order to destroy one another at any given moment. This is what has made their truce-of-sorts so interesting as of late, mostly because they have shown a little bit more when it comes to hesitation to actually make matters worse for one another.

It is with this in mind that Emily tells Victoria that she went out of her way to vote on the proposal to have a wing named in Daniel’s honor. She feels like she still owes him, and does not seem altogether interested in stomping on his memory. This may be at least partially nice for Victoria to hear, but it’s hardly solace. This is a woman who has simply realized right now that there is no sense fighting Emily anymore.

However, that is not stopping Margaux in the slightest. Emily warns her that she should get Margaux to lay low, since she is going to otherwise swoop in and do just about everything that she can to her a little later on. Margaux to a certain extent has a takedown coming, and she is physically not prepared to stop it. The biggest thing that she really has going for her is that she is mentally shrewd, and she will need to figure out how to get the upper hand on Emily VanCamp’s character. Our message here is fairly simple: Good luck with that.
