‘The Good Wife’ season 6, episode 15 review: Alicia Florrick, Johnny Elfman’s big move

The Good WifeThe drama never stops for Alicia Florrick on “The Good Wife,” and we saw this again during Sunday night’s new episode. The good news for her is that in the process, there was also a little romance!

After spending some time as of late playing the will-they-or-won’t-they game, Alicia and Johnny decided that they were finally going to make more of a go for it at the end of the episode, and courtesy of a steamy kiss. Could that convince him to stick around? We like to think so! This is definitely going to have some big implications for everything coming up, and while she may be happier now, this is also the sort of thing that still has to remain private given the election. It’s not like she is the only one with secrets or anything, given that Frank Prady revealed that he wasn’t actually gay tonight, but using those rumors to get votes from the gay community. He’s actually a Jesuit and doesn’t want to remarry.

As for the other main stumbling block of the episode, let’s just say that it involved Louis Canning and some new attempts to mess with her. Even while extremely ill, he continues to find a way to scheme! Luckily, it doesn’t seem to be working too well for him.

Also in this episode, we were happy to see Kurt McVeigh return! He and Diane had a little bit of a rough patch, mostly because of the fact that she let her politics and her passions take the place of her feelings for her husband. The two worked things out by the end of the episode, and he even convinced her to take a hunting trip with him in Wyoming, alongside “some of the richest men in the country.” Episode Grace: B+.
