‘Shameless’ season 5, episode 10 preview: The softer side of Frank Gallagher

Is it possible that Frank Gallagher on “Shameless” could actually develop real feelings? Part of the fun with this character is that he has such a wall, and he is also such a mess the majority of the time, it is very exciting to think about what happens when he exposes a little bit of vulnerability. This is something that may very well happen on next week’s “South Side Rules,” as he starts to figure out that a certain doctor in his life could be more than just a student-of-sort for his hard-partying ways. She could actually be a fitting love interest.

Unfortunately for Frank, it doesn’t quite seem like he is going to be getting what he wants here … but does he ever really? For some more when when it comes to this episode, let’s start with the short synopsis below:

“Frank starts to enjoy the company of his new sick friend and formerly uptight doctor, but she dumps him when she suspects he is developing feelings for her.”

It certainly starts off in a lighthearted way, with us hearing a little bit more about what is happening with Frank and his new “love connection.” However, it ends with violence, tears, and proof that almost nothing in this family’s world can stay peaceful for long. We’re near the end of the road this season, and things will only become crazier from here on out.
