ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4, episode 16 preview: Kerry Washington, Lena Dunham, and many secrets

Tonight, “Scandal” had an episode that was for the most part all about Susan Ross, and Fitz doing everything in power in order to ensure that she becomes the next Vice-President. Of course, what we’re wondering is what happens if Mellie’s grand plan backfires, and Susan ends up being so good that voters actually want her more than they want Mellie in the end.

Next week, the show will air an episode entitled “It’s Good to be Kink,” and the story here will feature Kerry Washington and the Gladiators seemingly spending a whole lot of time with Lena Dunham. For some basic details of what to expect, check out the full synopsis below:

“Olivia springs into action when she hears of a woman intending to expose sex secrets of some of DC’s most elite. Meanwhile, Elizabeth fears that Mellie’s sister could be detrimental to their political aspirations.”

The promo below sets up the episode a little more effectively, but we’ll go ahead and tell you right now what our biggest fear for this episode is: That this will be for the most part a standalone story designed to tell the story of Lena’s character, and whether or not Olivia needs to shut her down. We do still understand the casting of the character, though, mostly because she is a self-professed huge fan of “Scandal,” and has to be very thrilled to be a big part of this show now.
