‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 spoilers: On Emma, Regina, and possible bonding moments
Is an alliance between Emma and Regina on “Once Upon a Time” in the cards? It already seems like they are well on their way to being those rare individuals who go from wanting to relentlessly kill each other to actually being buddies in the end.
It may take a little bit of a push to have Jennifer Morrison and Lana Parrilla’s characters become even better friends, but there is a simple reason why this could happen: Charming and Snow White shooting themselves in the foot with yet another secret. At a certain point, you would think that some of these characters would learn a simple lesson: Secrets are bad. You don’t want to keep things hidden from people supposedly on your team.
As you would expect, Emma will be none too pleased to learn about her biological parents having some sort of unpleasant history with the trifecta of evil known as Cruella de Vil, Ursula, and Maleficent. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly on the subject, co-creator Adam Horowitz paints the situation rather eloquently:
“[Emma’s] done a lot of growing over the three and a half seasons, so what happens when you find out that the person that was helping you grow might actually be as bad as the people you were trying to get away from?”
Meanwhile, fellow co-creator and awesome tweeter Adam Horowitz added the following:
“Given what Emma is starting to go through and what Regina has gone through, there’s a new common ground between the two characters that will help build on that friendship … In addition to Henry, they now have something else they can share and deal with.”
