‘The Good Wife’ season 6 spoilers: Will Alicia return to the courtroom anytime soon?
“The Good Wife” is in many ways a show about layers, and we’ve seen quite a few of them from our leading lady Alicia Florrick. We’ve seen her as a wife, an attorney, a fighter, a mother, and now, a woman firmly entrenched in politics. The State’s Attorney campaign is a difficult one to run, since it at times forces you to become someone you really are not strictly for the sake of going out there and meeting people.
Thanks to these newfound duties, she is forced to take time away from her typical job in the courtroom, and it seems like this is going to be a tradition that holds for a while. While executive producer Robert King tells E! News that Julianna Margulies’ character will practice law again, it may not be right away:
“First of all, we like seeing Alicia stretch so we are not hungering for it yet, but we know the audience hungers for it…We still keep our hand in with what’s happening with [Christine Baranski], Gary Cole and Matt Czuchry, in upcoming episodes they will be in court. But there is something very special about seeing Alicia—it’s where she feels most comfortable, where she kind of kicks a**.”
Even without her in the courtroom, it feels like there will be quite a bit of action still to come. Ed Asner is going to return for at least one more hour as Guy, and we’re also going to get potential more of the other recurring characters we’ve seen throughout the season.
