‘Downton Abbey’ season 5 finale spoilers (PBS): Michelle Dockery, Allen Leech, Joanne Froggatt teasers
Sunday night, it is finally here in North America: The season finale of “Downton Abbey.” There is a heck of a lot going on this episode, and you better prepare to dive into it. Also, you better prepare to have some free time on your hands: This episode is close to two hours long!
As we’ve done all season long, we’re here to provide you with a few more teases in terms of what to expect when it comes to a variety of the different characters who are all a part of this universe in one way or another. We’d say that none of these are major spoilers, but if you do find yourself incredibly sensitive towards any teasers at all, you may be better off staying away until after the show wraps tomorrow night on PBS.
1. Is there another suitor out there potentially for Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery)? You may think so during this episode, and it comes after things fell apart for her with both Charles Blake and Tony Gillingham.
2. Is Tom Branson (Allen Leech) really going to leave? After this storyline first came up, you better believe that it will be addressed again.
3. The storyline surrounding the arrest of Anna (Joanne Froggatt) is going to pick up in a huge way. There will be at least some resolution to it by the time we make it to the end of this season.
4. The majority of this episode takes place away from the Abbey, and following the tradition of other past specials.
5. There is a big moment coming for two beloved members of the downstairs staff … and that is all we will say.
