‘The Musketeers’ season 2, episode 8 preview: Could Porthos’ parentage cause him to leave?
Is there about to be a major breakup of “The Musketeers” in the future? The teaser for next week’s new episode certainly makes it appear like this is a real and definite possibility. There are going to be many conflicts that lie ahead here, and for Porthos, many of them have to do with trying to find some answers from his past. The arrival of his father changes everything for him … and in a way, it also changes things for the Musketeers themselves. After all, they now have to figure out whether or not these are people who are present for noble reasons.
Is this man in danger? It is one of many questions worth asking, but we have to think that his friends will stand up for him, even if he is blind to the nasty truth that lies before him. Take a look at the synopsis below:
“Porthos uncovers the truth about his parentage and demands answers from his new-found father. As he learns more about his past, Porthos questions his place in the Musketeers regiment. However, the Musketeers have suspicions about Porthos’ new family, wondering whether he should trust them. Can they save Porthos from the dangers that lie ahead, and where do his true loyalties lie?”
This does appear to be the right time for an episode like this; we’re near the end of the season, and specific character stories to us are what has us most excited. While many “Musketeers” staples will be in here, including further action, it appears that we will have something different, as well.
