‘Arrow’ season 3, ‘The Flash’ about to spawn a complicated spin-off show
As much as we were hoping for a spin-off of “Arrow” and “The Flash” revolving around someone like the Atom or Firestorm, we have to say that we did not quite imagine something playing out like this.
According to a report from Deadline, the team of Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, and Greg Berlanti are all working on a new potential series that will star popular actors Brandon Routh, Victor Garver, Wentworth Miller, and Caity Lotz. Obviously, there is one key question you have to ask about this right away: How in the world is this going to work? Let’s start with Garber. You need Robbie Amell for him to be Firestorm; as a matter of fact, Amell is the one playing the actors scenes when the bodies are fused together. Also, how do you bring Lotz on the show? It’s unclear if she will be reprising her part as the original Canary (who is seemingly dead), or if there will be a new character brought in for her to play. There are also DC characters rumored to be coming on board that have not appeared on TV.
As a whole, we’re somewhat confused still, and while we love the actors, we probably need further news to understand this. There is no real connection at all for any of these characters to work together. Not only that, but Miller’s Captain Cold / Leonard Snart is a villain! This is a cool way to keep all of these people around, but it’s probably going to take some time to see if this could work.
If this show actually makes it to air, it will be a part of next season’s lineup.

I’d rather see the mothership shows continue on their strong trajectory and make use of these characters there than to create a third, fusion kind of show.
