‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: See Thea fighting Slade Wilson in ‘The Return’ photo

Does Thea Queen have a shot against Slade Wilson? We almost hope that this photo attached here for “The Return,” the new episode of “Arrow” airing on Wednesday night, is somewhat misleading. While Thea may have been trained by Malcolm Merlyn, we cannot imagine her for a second being able to take on Deathstroke, even with him having only one good eye and being trapped in an ARGUS prison on Lian Yu ever since the end of season 2.

While we’ll have to see just how that unfolds, we are excited to see this character getting the opportunity to run amok a little bit. If this is meant to be one of the biggest tests that we could possibly see for Thea and her brother Oliver, we feel like Malcolm is probably going to get almost exactly what he wants out of this. Slade is a bad guy, a very bad guy. He is not someone you really want to mess with. He’s got a history of killing, and he wants revenge against Oliver. He already killed his mother; why not add his sister to the list?

What we wonder here is that if you’ve managed to release Slade, what happens to him after this episode? Do you bring him back down into the prison again? This is not someone you can just stick on the Suicide Squad and hope that he suddenly can be controlled!

As far as we know, this is the only Manu Bennett appearance this season. Maybe he’ll turn up again later, but it for now is a mystery.
