‘Arrow’ season 3: David Ramsey on John Stewart / Green Lantern possibilities

Diggle -So far, “Arrow” executive producers Andrew Kreisberg, Greg Berlanti, and Marc Guggenheim have held nothing back when it comes to their implementation of the DC universe into their show (plus “The Flash”) … at least to the extent of what they are allowed to do.

Just this year alone, we have already seen the introduction to the Atom, Firestorm, and of course such iconic villains as Ra’s al Ghul, the Reverse Flash, and a woman who may someday be Killer Frost. The idea of there being a Green Lantern in this universe really does not seem that crazy … and the rumor mill is churning that John Diggle may someday become the character otherwise known as John Stewart. (At least, this is the iteration of the hero that Diggle is rumored to be.)

Could this happen? Speaking to ComicBook.com, star David Ramsey would neither confirm it or deny it. All he knows is that it is something that has at least been discussed:

“If that’s the case, it’s gonna be huge. This is the stuff they want to avoid. I think they don’t want anybody to know yet and they haven’t even told me … They have told me that they are thinking about it and they are considering it. Greg Berlanti told me that. Andrew [Kreisberg] and Marc [Guggenheim] have told me that. I haven’t spoken to Geoff Johns about it, yet. But that’s the word from people directly involved in Arrow – that they’re working on something.”

Could this actually work well? Ramsey admits that it could be tricky given how grounded in reality “Arrow” is, and it is with that in mind we wonder if this is better suited as a spin-off someday down the road. Ramsey is one of our favorite actors in the entire universe, so if there is a character capable of anchoring a huge story like this, it is definitely him.
