‘Glee’ season 6, episode 6: Brittany, Santana prepare for a wedding

Brittany -In a matter of just a couple of weeks, Brittany and Santana on “Glee” are finally going to be getting married! Haven’t you waiting a long time for this? We know that we have, and that is precisely why we are so happy that their big day is coming up soon.

Unfortunately for them, what this episode reminded us about is that not everyone else is nearly as excited as they are about the idea of them getting married. Specifically, there’s still the problem of Santana’s grandmother. Heather Morris completely killed it in this installment, as she tried to figure out how to be both strong and supportive in the face of some pretty major adversity. Not bad for a character who often comes across as just comic relief. Can we also say how happy that we were to have Ken Jeong involved here, even if it was for just a few short minutes?

Elsewhere in this episode, Rachel Berry is starting to look ahead once again to her Broadway dreams after some counseling from Mercedes, who is back and making Sam even more confused. Ultimately, what this looks like is that the show doesn’t want to completely separate Lea Michele’s character from Broadway, but at the same time, they are trying to keep her working with the New Directions. That is a whole lot to have on her plate.

At least this episode did a good job of cutting back on some of the Sue shenanigans, and focusing more on real issues and problems for these people. Sometimes, this series has a nasty habit of just filling itself with fluff.
