‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2 spoilers: ‘The Tomorrow People’ alum gets Inhuman new role
Somehow, the cast of “The Tomorrow People” at the moment are doing a very good job of finding some supercharged roles elsewhere on TV. We know that Robbie Amell is now Ronnie Raymond a.k.a. one half of Firestorm on “The Flash,” and his former co-star Peyton List is also appearing on that CW show later this season as Lisa Snart, the sister to Captain Cold who, at least in the comics, is known as the Golden Glider.
Now, the superhero bug has officially bitten Luke Mitchell. Per Marvel, Mitchell has been cast in “Agents of SHIELD” season 2 in a part that will hold some very major implications for Skye (Chloe Bennett) the rest of the season. His character’s name is Lincoln, and he is an Inhuman who is key in making sure that she finds out more and more information about who she truly is.
It has been well over a month now since “Agents of SHIELD” officially closed the door on the first half of its season, and this big reveal for Skye turned out to be one of the most shocking we have seen on the entire series so far. What is also curious about it to us is that this is still a reveal that could have so many more implications beyond what we’ve even seen on the show so far. For example, the Inhumans are going to have a feature film several years down the road, and while it is unclear if either Mitchell or Bennett will have a part in it, they are laying a foundation for what could be coming.
“Agents of SHIELD” will return to ABC with new episodes on Sunday, March 3. You can head over here to read some more of the latest.
