‘Halt and Catch Fire’ season 2 spoilers: ‘American Horror Story’ alumni join in big role
“Halt and Catch Fire” already had a pretty impressive cast led by Lee Pace, but now going into the second season, and based on the latest news we have right, they are getting set to add more and more greatness to it.
According to a new report from Deadline, former “American Horror Story” and “Babe” star James Cromwell will be taking on a major recurring role on the second season. Specifically, he is going to be playing the part of Wheeler, an energy company CEO out of Texas (where the show is set) who is looking to get more and more into the technology business. He made the majority of his fortune on his own, so he is not going to be reckless when it comes to his money.
Just in case this casting news was not enough for you, also know that James Dumont, who appeared on the third season of “American Horror Story,” is also coming on board. However, there are not many details available at this very moment in regards to his role.
“Halt and Catch Fire” was both a critical darling and a personal favorite during its first season, but it was barely renewed after posting some lower ratings. AMC made it clear more or less that they want to give the show a chance to find an audience, and given the popularity of “Guardians of the Galaxy” over the summer, it may have been a smart choice. Hopefully some people fell in love with Pace in the movie, and want to see him now in something that could not be more different.
This season will premiere on the network this summer, but we should have some other news about it well before then.
