‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ review: Did Sig Hansen, Geraldo Rivera sink their own ship
Was tonight’s “Celebrity Apprentice” cruise everything you hoped for and then some? Personally, we thought that this was all sorts of entertaining, mostly for Geraldo Rivera. Over the course of this episode, we had him trying to start a Revolutionary War reenactment at sea, and then later tried to claim that he was as knowledgeable when it comes to life on the water as Sig was.
Sig’s turn as Project Manager was almost a disaster from the start. Having Hooters as a key component of your task is good if you are either a frat guy, or if you are Michael Scott. Women and married men weren’t having it, and this was a terrible idea from the start as his boat cruised around New York. Also, Geraldo’s speech about the terrorists was just a little off-putting to many of the people who were present. It wasn’t a political rally!
Brandi Glanville may not have been a boat captain, but she has been a party captain! She was far and away superior as the Project Manager, and her only negative was that Kenya Moore got a little too crazy during her “Gone with the Wind Fabulous” performance. Everything on her boat felt much more in control, and everyone contributed.
So to see Sig los was not a shock, and from that moment, it seemed obvious that Donald Trump would bring the hammer. Kate Gosselin and Vivica A. Fox were really good, and Geraldo was the only other candidate. Trump wasn’t getting rid of Geraldo for what he did. A hilarious and wonderful episode, but one with a predictable gig. Grade: B+.
