‘Parenthood’ season 6, episode 12 video: Amber’s labor begins

The fact that we are only a little over a week away from the series finale of “Parenthood” is still a very difficult thing to mentally process. We’ve come to know the family well, and the crazy thing is that there really is so much story left to tell over the final two weeks.

For this particular video sneak peek below, the struggle here is wondering whether or not Amber’s baby is going to end up being okay in the end. Right in the middle of a conversation with Sarah and Hank about their wedding, which apparently includes Hank wanting to be married by a volcano, she starts to have contractions. This scene is done in wonderful “Parenthood” fashion. Sometimes you forget just how good this show is at actually cultivating real conversations, and not just having someone say lines that are separated by a second or two.

We know that we will see her in the hospital in this episode, but she is not the only character with medical-related problems. We won’t say too much else, other than to expect Craig T. Nelson to give a knockout performance. It’s crazy to think the man in “Coach” has become known for something just as powerful, and the stars of “Gilmore Girls” and “Everybody Loves Raymond” could also be known for something else, as well.
