‘Glee’ season 6: Heather Morris lands post-show movie gig

Brittany -Just in case you were wondering what Heather Morris will be up to once “Glee” season 6 comes to a close, we now have a definitive answer for you: She has a new gig coming up on the big screen.

According to a new report coming in from Deadline, the actress / dancer is joining a large cast, including “Girls” star Alex Karpovsky (Ray), in the upcoming road comedy entitled “Folk Hero & Funny Fuy.” This is obviously a nice chance for her to play another different character, and one that will not rely entirely on some of the same tendencies that we previously saw with her playing Brittany S. Pierce. This is the second movie project this year, as we know that she worked previously on another one during a break in “Glee” production.

This is the time when the “Glee” cast definitely has to start to figure out a little bit about what they want their future to hold beyond the series. After all, it was just announced that Lea Michele has been cast in the new Ryan Murphy series “Scream Queens,” and there are some other actors who are also currently out there navigating through pilot season. Some may choose to do movies; Naya Rivera has actually started to work when it comes to daytime TV.

New episodes of “Glee” will air continuously on Friday nights the rest of the season, with the finale more than a month away. Stay tuned for more.
