‘Hart of Dixie’ season 4 spoilers: Scott Porter teases changes for George

Over the past several weeks, the majority of our “Hart of Dixie” discussions have generated mostly on one subject and one subject only: Zoe and Wade. This is somewhat understandable in a way, mostly because you have to consider most of what is going on right now in terms of the story. After all, Rachel Bilson’s pregnancy has been written into the show, and due to that, her and Wade suddenly have quite a bit of important stuff to discuss.

What about George Tucker, though? So far, most of his story has been tied to Lemon, and whether or not he can convince her to give their relationship another try. (So far, she has been rather busy in the midst of a fake one.) This is going to change at some point, and as series star Scott Porter tells Yahoo TV, a time will come when you will see him take on a very different sort of career path:

“You might see a career change for George Tucker over this final season … You’ll watch him figure out what he wants to do with the next portion of his life.”

Could that be firefighting? It’s easy to draw that assumption based on what we saw in the premiere, but given that Bluebell only has a volunteer fire department right now, it’s hard to see him making a whole lot of money in that. He’s going to have to figure something else out at some point.
