ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: How Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion fit in ‘Private Eye Caramba!’

Castle and Beckett -While we have no idea just yet how the upcoming January 22 “Castle” episode “Private Eye Caramba!” is going to unfold, we can at least say this: It has to be one of our favorite premises for an episode we’ve ever heard. Sure, the telenovela story was done already on “Psych,” but we loved it there, too! There is just so much potential for fun and comedy in this world, and for the most part, this is what we really watch “Castle” to see.

In the winter premiere episode next week entitled “Castle P.I,” one of the larger stories is set to revolve a little bit around Nathan Fillion’s character working to become a private eye for the first time, and some of the ways in which he finds himself a part of that world. There’s the potential to be a whole lot of fun there, and based on the synopsis that we have for “Private Eye Caramba!” below, it is only going to continue:

“When a young Latin telenovela actress is murdered, Beckett and the team delve into a case that is as flamboyant and full of intrigue as any telenovela. Meanwhile, Castle is hired as private investigator by the show’s sultry star to pursue the case from another angle.”

The only way that this story could be even better to us would be if Castle was forced at one point to be an actor on said telenovela, and Fillion has to act out some of these scenes. (Bonus points if they work Stana Katic in there, as well!)

Later on this winter, you’ll have a chance to see some of the more emotional stories, including the return of Annie Wersching as Kelly Nieman. For now, we’re going to enjoy the fun for what it is.
